Terms of service

These terms apply when you buy from Hedgeroe Home, whether in our Carrickmines showroom or on hedgeroe.com. Please read them alongside our returns policy, shipping policy and privacy policy.

Who you are buying from

Hedgeroe Home is a trading name of Hedgeroe Living Limited, Unit 1, The View, Carrickmines Manor, Carrickmines, Co. Dublin, D18 C6V4. VAT registration number IE 9668884A. Showroom 01 2948932, WhatsApp 087 609 5544, email info@hedgeroe.com. We are open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm, and closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Your order

When you place an order online you will receive an acknowledgement by email. That acknowledgement confirms we have received your order, not that we have accepted it. The contract between us is formed when we confirm the order or dispatch the goods, whichever comes first.

We may decline an order — for example if a piece has sold in the showroom, if a price has been listed in error, or if we cannot deliver to your address. If we do, we will tell you and refund anything you have paid in full.

Prices and payment

Prices are in euro and include VAT at the applicable rate. Delivery is charged separately and is shown at checkout before you pay. Prices can change, but a change will never affect an order we have already accepted.

Payment is taken in full at the time of ordering, except for made-to-order and bespoke pieces, where a deposit is taken to begin manufacture and the balance falls due within 48 hours of delivery.

If a price is obviously wrong and you could reasonably have recognised it as a mistake, we are not obliged to supply at that price.

Availability

Our showroom and website share the same stock, so occasionally a piece sells in store while an online order is being processed. If that happens we will contact you with the options — the closest alternative, a reorder if the lead time works, or a full refund.

Natural materials

Many of our pieces are made from timber, rattan, marble, stone, linen and hand-finished ceramics. Grain, colour, veining and weave vary from piece to piece, and screens show colour differently. Variation of this kind is a feature of the material rather than a fault, and we are always happy to send you a photograph of the actual piece before you buy.

Delivery

Delivery is covered in our shipping policy. In short: delivery is charged by size class and quoted at checkout; furniture is delivered rather than collected; and we will agree a day with you before we come.

Returns and faulty goods

Returns are covered in our returns policy. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under Irish and EU consumer law, including your rights where goods are faulty, not as described, or unfit for purpose.

Bespoke and made-to-order pieces

Bespoke and made-to-measure pieces — furniture, lighting, fabric, curtains and blinds — are made to your specification. Once manufacture has begun, these orders cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged except where the piece is faulty. We will confirm the specification with you in writing before we start.

Gift cards and membership

Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Membership is €50 for twelve months from the date of joining, gives 10% off full-price goods bought in the showroom, and does not apply to sale stock, online orders, delivery or installation charges, or in conjunction with other offers. Membership is non-transferable and non-refundable.

Trade accounts

Trade accounts are opened at our discretion following an application and review. Trade terms are confirmed in writing to successful applicants, are non-transferable, and do not apply to gift cards or interior design consultations.

Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

This website

The content of hedgeroe.com — photographs, text and design — belongs to us and may not be reproduced without our permission. We do our best to keep the site accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or free of error.

Complaints

If something has gone wrong, call the showroom on 01 2948932 or email info@hedgeroe.com and we will do our best to sort it out. If we cannot resolve it between us, you may be able to use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page at the time you order is the one that applies to your order.
