An artichoke modelled in ceramic and glazed a deep olive green, with the top leaves opening to take a dinner candle. The reactive glaze pools darker between the leaves and breaks paler over the tips.
A proper table piece — one in the middle with a cream candle, or a pair either side of a bowl. Reactive glaze, so colour and depth vary from piece to piece.
