Our largest lighting category, and the one we are asked about most. Bases in glazed ceramic, turned wood, brass and rattan, from small bedside lamps to pieces tall enough to anchor a console table.
Many bases are sold without a shade so you can choose your own from our lampshade collection — if you are unsure what size to pair, the rule of thumb is a shade roughly two-thirds the height of the base, and our guide to choosing a lamp walks through it.
