A crewel-embroidered trellis worked in wool on ivory cotton, the lattice picked out in soft green with pale blue flowers where the lines cross. The stitching stands proud of the cloth, so the pattern has real relief and catches the light through the day.
A lovely thing on a linen sofa, a window seat or a painted bedroom chair, and it sits just as happily with antique furniture as with plain modern upholstery. 50 x 50 cm.
