A classic ginger-jar shape in white porcelain, hand-painted in cobalt blue with carp swimming through lotus and scrolling foliage, and finished with a domed lid and a small knop.
Handsome on its own on a console or a mantel, better still with a lamp and a stack of books, or filled with faux stems as an alternative to a vase. Hand-painted, so the brushwork varies a little from piece to piece.
